Several cryptocurrency enthusiasts have been involved in a protocol named "Avalanche" for quite some time since May 2018. An unofficial community wrote the white paper of developers dubbed "Gang Rocket."

The article states to go beyond Satoshi 's invention, often referred to as "Nakamoto Consensus," as concepts such as Avalanche introduce "a new family of leaderless Byzantine fault-tolerant protocols, built on a metastable mechanism."

After the publication of the report, the well-known founder of Hacking Distributed and Cornell professor Emin Gün Sirer also founded a project named AVA Labs in 2018. AVA Labs honestly claims the Avalanche would be a "next-generation."

"Avalanche is the first next-generation blockchain that utilizes Proof-of-Stake (PoS) to execute on scale (decentralized finance) problems," said AVA Labs. "Enabled by one of the most sophisticated consensus technology, the Avalanche method, Avalanche achieves the highest throughput of more than 4500 TPS, a quick finality of fewer than 3 seconds, and this with unparalleled decentralization."

The "App Primer" production team begins by adding:

“Designed as a portal, Avalanche enables anybody to install subnets, private or public, and build custom implementations to suit the needs of their network. With the potential to build and share properties between chains and subnets, Avalanche supports all industries as a network backbone for the Internet of Exchange”.
