The biggest bank in the United States of America has opened its services to giant crypto exchanges Gemini and Coinbase. This would be the first time the banking giant would make its services available to clients in the crypto world. For this to happen, they underwent a thorough vetting procedure.

JPMorgan would be charged with the provision of funds management services as well as the management of dollar-based transactions. Every dollar withdrawal, deposit and transfer would be processed by JPMorgan Chase. There would be no involvement whatsoever in the management of any crypto transactions.

Before now, Jamie Dimon, the Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan has actually been an open critic of Bitcoin. He once said that Bitcoin is worse than tulip bulbs and that the prediction of its price won’t end well. His sudden support for crypto exchanges came as a pleasant surprise.

However, when it comes to blockchain, JPMorgan has always been optimistic about its potential. Over a year ago, the bank revealed its intention to develop JPM coin which is meant to be a settlement-dedicated digital asset.
