How To Read The "24 Hr Change" Metric on Remitano Invest (It's Not What You Think)

The Remitano Invest (and even Swap) feature is very useful for earning good percentage profits on a daily (and even possibly hourly) basis. But I find that because it is not properly understood, it is under-utilized. In this article, I'll speak on how to understand the 24Hr change metric and use it for profit. This is actually a secret in crypto-trading.

The mistake I find beginners make often is that they check the 24 Hr metric to see which coin shows a positive percentage increment in the last 24 Hrs. If they find one having, say, +3.5%, in the last 24 hrs, they think it's worth investing in. But for those showing, say, -6%, they run away from them. Some even think that the fact that a coin shows a negative reading, say -14%, that means you should invest in it (the "buy when price is low and sell when price is high" strategy). Whereas this strategy may work in some occassions, this is not actually how you determine which coin to invest in, as far as the 24hr Change metric is concerned.

Consider two Altcoins -- DogeCoin and Cardano, for instance. If in the last 24 hrs, DogeCoin fell by -3%, you'll see the 24hr metric read -3%. If then in the next 20 minutes (which very much less than 24hrs) it rose by +7%, you'll see the 24hr metric "suddenly" change to +4%. Notice anything??? Although the metric shows +4% in the last 24hrs, the reality is that it had risen by +7%. But it may be mistaken to have risen from its initial price to an additional 4%, whereas it was actually 7% increment from its initial price (-3% + 7% = +4%).

Now consider Cardano. If in the last 24hrs it fell by -20%, the 24hr metric will read -20%. If then in the next 20 minutes (which very much less than 24hrs) it rose by +12%, you'll see the 24hr metric show -8%. Notice anything again??? Although the metric shows -8% in the last 24hrs, the reality is that it had risen by +12%.

Now for someone who just lands on the Remitano Invest page and sees the 24hr change metric of the various Altcoins, they may pass a wrong judgement as regarding which to invest in. Because they see Cardano showing -8%, they assume its falling and flee from investing in it. But as a matter of fact, Cardano at that point was undergoing a "bullish" run (price shooting up), and investing in it may earn you some percentage profit.

Furthermore, if a coin decreases by -5% and then increases by +6%, the 24hr metric will read +1%. If, in the next 3hrs, it decreases again by -5% and increases yet again by +6%, the 24hr metric will still show +1%. So, whereas it seemed to be showing +1% at different times, the reality is that the total percentage increment it had experienced was +12%, meaning in the ideal scenario, someone who actively bought it at the two times it was -5% would earn +12%, whereas the metric is still showing total profit of +1%. Do we see why relying on solely the instantaneous 24hr metric is not exactly recommended?

So, What to Do?

Before you can really make reasonable steady income in crypto-trading, you have to Do Your Own Research (DYOR). Yeah, I know; this is not the part most people like--they prefer lying down on the sofa with their head resting on three pillows and legs crossed while picking their teeth with a toothpick, and amidst this, money just keeps flowing in and hallelujah! Brother, sister, wake up. It doesn't work like that.

You have to be current with the various Altcoins you're interested in. Particularly, you should read the charts--you can find good charts at LiveCoinWatch or CoinMarketCap, for example. What you'll be looking for is not the 24hr chart as a whole--at least not for this tutorial--you'll be looking for the 5-min trend on the 24hr chart (as that's the least time-range when you hover over it--and preferably do this on PC, unless you be patiently sliding your finger over the chart on your phone screen). A coin may increase by 2% in 5 mins and then drop back and again increase by 5% and drop by 7%, all within their respective 5-mins intervals. What you should do is to check if your Altcoin of interest is going through a 5-min increment (after falling). Then, using the Remitano Swap feature, swap to that coin. Watch the charts, if the coin increases further by some percentage, you can take out the profit by swapping your coins back to USDT. If you'd swapped to that coin using, say 100 USDT, by the time you're swapping back, you may end up having 105 USDT, in just 5 mins!

It takes patience and practice to gain mastery. But not that the market is still a speculative one, and you may swap to a coin only to see that its price begins to fall. Be patient, it will most likely rise again in that 5-min kind of interval (but it's not a guarantee).

This is quite a surface description of the intricacies involved in reading price charts to inform your investment decision. As you keep on trading in the crypto-space, you'll gain more understanding, and hopefully profit more. Use this in addition to Remitano Referral Program and other easier means of earning passive income and you should be good to go.

Hopefully, you understand better the 24Hr metric on Remitano price metrics. So, trade now!
