Georgia Reports Ransomeware Attack Ahead of 2020 Elections

Georgia is the location where the first ransomware attack happened ahead of the 2020 election.

On the 7th of October, the local officials made it clear that there have been an attack on the network and some other critical systems. Georgia Hall County was the first location to be hit by the attack ahead of the election. Some voting infrastructure was, however, affected.

There have been warnings from some security firms that the government networks might be attacked, and more havoc could be wreaked if things are not done rightly. On the 12th of October, Microsoft announced about Trickbot that attacked some of the previous political movements like the famous Black Lives Matter to ensure they get the malware. However, security products from the IT conglomerate are in place to secure the election.
