DOT has flipped Ripple’s XRP in terms of market capitalization following a massive gain of 26% over the past 24 hours. This makes it the new fourth largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

The Polkadot token has surged from an intraday low of just below $11 to top out at an all-time high of $14.80 before retreating slightly to $14.45 at the time of writing. The big price movement has caused the token market cap to go to about $13.7 billion as of a couple of days ago.
Despite momentarily increasing three percent today, Ripple has not been able to beat out EtherEthereum'swhich has only gained three and a half percent on the day so far. Its market-cap (market value) is currently just below DOT'sDOT's13.5 billion.
The data from Polkadot's platform states that if you buy a million tokens or the average token bought, it would have a market cap of $14.8 billion using a circulation figure of just over one billion tokens. The analytics on cryptocurrencies clearly show that when DOT prices are compared, $3 billion more worth of XRP equals the total market cap difference.
The Coinmarketcap owned by Binance provides the only E-cig inventory data to show the actual supply and not the DOT's standard percentages. Like Binance Coin, CMC was late to list Polkadot, an Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain competitor.
