TokenSoft Joins Blockchain Association

Security Tokens forum TokenSoft has become part of the United States .- based crypto advocacy group Blockchain Association (BA).

The San Francisco-based token issuance platform announced in an official statement on April 27 that it will be joining D.C .- based association to "educate policymakers and government representatives on the benefits of utilizing blockchain technologies and the need for sensitive, regional regulatory requirements."

Stating that the firm will take a leadership position in the BA, TokenSoft said the change was a step forward to using blockchain technologies within existing legislation, improving legal enforcement with health token requirements, and eventually creating greater transparency for blockchain networks.

Kristin Smith, Executive Director of the Blockchain Association, said in a statement that introducing TokenSoft to the group will have "a significant viewpoint in favour of a pro-business and pro-consumer legislative approach [to securities law]."

BA Lending a Hand to Others

Blockchain Association has moved in defence of many blockchain companies who face legal threats. The group has also submitted at least two amicus curiae briefs for Canadian messengers Kik and Telegram in 2020. Both firms are facing US lawsuits. Securities and Exchange Commission, report.
