The XRP cryptocurrency has recorded a 43% price gain in the last seven days.
Currently facing legal charges for security violations and lack of regulatory validation to operate as a Cryptocurrency in the US are the XRP token creator Ripple Labs Inc. Despite this fact, the coin seems to be taking an upthrust for the moon. We now refer to XRP’s significant growth and potential plans for a public listing.
Major Updates
- XRP records a 43% price gain this week alone.
- Both CEOs of Ripple plan for the company’s public listing.
- Garlinghouse announces the public listing takes place in a year.
It all started late last year in December; the SEC had filed a lawsuit against the creators of the XRP digital currency. Their coin was deemed a security, and therefore, they were accused of generating revenue off “unregistered security offerings.” At the time, the company had yielded over 1.3 billion USD from the coin.
Ever since then, the lifespan of Ripple Labs Inc has been uncertain to both traders and investors. Regardless, advocates have been steadily making efforts to promote the coin. They have looked past the crippling legal status of the coin creators in the US and have been trading at very good volumes.
This had led to the impressive growth of cryptocurrency. After trading below the one dollar mark, XRP is now valued at 1.54 USD at the time of writing.

This accounts for a lot of enthusiasts speculating if the SEC lawsuits were dead.
Following the ever-growing pace of the coin’s price, the company has been revealed to opt for a public listing potentially.
It was announced by the CEO of the Japanese Finance firm, the SBI Group, Yoshitaka Kitao. He explained that both CEOs Garlinghouse and Larson of Ripple Labs Inc were on the brink of going public. This will, however, become a reality after settling the issues with the US SEC.
Garlinghouse stated it would occur in 12 months.
Conclusion
Additionally, with the SBI Group being the largest shareholder of the Ripple Enterprise, the CEO notes that a potential public listing would pay off initial investments made by the company.
