In no particular order, here are our top four WTF moment at Bitcoin 2021 two-day conference in Miami, Florida.
Max Keiser, the host of the “Keiser Report,” launched his chat with MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor by screaming, “We're not selling!” Fuck Elon!
Elon Musk shared a sad love symbol and a joke saying he had broken up with Bitcoin, along with its fans, on Friday. As a result of the tweet, the Bitcoin price decreased by 5%.
However, Musk went and promoted his own cryptocurrency on Twitter just as Bitcoin began to decline. This token's price more than doubled since it powers a sexual content cult. Soon after, Musk switched his profile photograph to an anime woman with lasers for eyes, a meme commonly used by Bitcoin supporters who hope that the price reaches $100,000.
Lunacrash believes that Keiser is the fifth-most influential Bitcoin personality. One critic noted Kaiser's high-energy behavior. Musk's performance was just like Bitconnect 'Hype Man' Carlos Matos. Bitconnect turned out to be a complete hoax, and the SEC convicted five marketers for fraudulently obtaining $2 billion by selling unregistered securities.
Floyd Mayweather, the unbeaten boxing champion, showed up at Bitcoin 2021 wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with an EthereumMax (EMAX) logo (ETH).
This minor new coin based on Ethereum called EthereumMax is supporting Mayweather's showdown with YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul on Sunday night.
After Mayweather's arrival, he had already changed into a T-shirt promoting his jewelry brand, 50 Karats.
When Mayweather made his pro-Bitcoin speech at a convention, things rapidly went bad when he stated, "I believe there will be another cryptocurrency that will be just as big as Bitcoin someday."
The audience laughed uproariously. He wasn't clear whether he was speaking about EthereumMax, his sponsor, or Dogecoin.
On the second day of the convention, a supporter's outfit was ripped open, revealing a huge Shiba Inu head bearing the Dogecoin logo. Just before being hauled offstage, he said, "Dogecoin to the moon!"
It was reported that @maxotg_ was behind the hoax. At press time, he could not be reached.
Dogecoin was developed in 2013 as a parody of Bitcoin forks. Now it's at the #10 spot in terms of market capitalisation. The Dogecoin Army, an ardent group of fans, are known to promote the coin in short bursts.
Elon Musk, who compared Dogecoin to Bitcoin, has considerably helped its success.
Laura Loomer, an anti-Big Tech activist, disrupted Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's conversation with Alex Gladstein, the head of strategy for the Human Rights Foundation.
Loomer labeled Dorsey a "hypocrite" concerning censorship and freedom of expression, and then went on to say in a YouTube video that Bitcoin is all about freedom.
After a tweet targeting Rep. Ilhan Omar went viral, Loomer was banned from Twitter in November 2018. Loomer tweeted that Omar's faith, Islam, endorses homophobia and disrespect towards women. The next month, Loomer locked herself to the doors of Twitter's New York offices, protesting against the Twitter company's stance on Sharia law.
Loomer reportedly remarked in a December 2017 interview that she is “pro-white nationalism” and does not oppose the creation of a “ethnostate” for whites. After 12 hours in a chat group, Loomer was called "the most banned lady in the world."
