A subsidiary of one of the biggest crypto exchanges in Japan, Biflyer, has entered into a partnership with PayPal, allowing its customers in the EU region to purchase crypto using their PayPal balance.
According to the announcement, millions of Bitflyer Europe (a subsidiary of Bitflyer) can now fund their accounts and purchase cryptocurrencies using Paypal. This integration adds to the existing modes of funding/deposit, such as wire/swift transfers, which usually take more than one business day for cross border settlements.
Now that Bitflyer Europe has integrated a PayPal option for account funding, users can expect almost instant confirmation of deposit, compared to the card/wire transfers that sometimes takes up to 3 days to clear.
To encourage customers to take advantage of this new option, the business strategy manager of Bitflyer Europe, Jacek Bastin, stated that the exchange would not charge customers any extra fee for using the PayPal option. Customers will only pay the regular transaction fees charged by Paypal.
Millions of PayPal users in the EU regions that had to use third-party platforms to convert their PayPal funds before buying crypto would gladly take advantage of this opportunity.
