The financial regulator of New York has provided a green list of 8 digital coins for buying and selling and also authorized ten tokens for custody.
According to the official website of the state's Department of Financial Services (DFS), the eight coins that were authorized are Ethereum (ETH), Binance USD, PAX, Gemini dollar (GUSD), Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and the PAX Gold. XRP and Ethereum classic are the other two coins that were authorized for custody.
The financial regulator of New York is one of the main regulatory firms for businesses relating to cryptocurrency, as it provides a major license for coins.
Report revealed that the DFS could restrict activities of any of the coins or completely delist it at any point in time.
The New York DFS says the listed coins can be utilized by any licensed organization to execute crypto activities on businesses in the state for their authorized plan. However, it explained that any licensed business is required to notify the regulator body before utilizing any listed coin.
