The CEO of Grayscale has stated that the U.S. cannot shutdown or ban bitcoin as cryptocurrencies have moved beyond that level. He spoke about the odds of laws in the United States developing or turning cryptocurrency worse.
The CEO stated that we have moved past the “shutdown BTC” perceived uncertainty, and there is adequate backing in capital from those that regulate and decide policies and laws. He further added that BTC has a legitimate backing to thrive and cannot be banned.
Silbert also mentioned that efforts made by the Blockchain Association and other groups who have come out to speak in favour and also advocate for cryptocurrency and blockchain firms had made them better.
As a business group, Grayscale has improved more than ever before from a relationship angle out in Washington, sensitizing policy regulators around the gains and advantages of digital assets. The limiting policies and uncertainty that loomed around cryptocurrencies in Washington are behind us.
