20 New Members

The Celo Foundation reported a 50% rise in the number of its leaders on Tuesday. The Foundation clarified that "The reach of participation remains centred around the usage of instances, the advancement of financial inclusion and sustainability, and the implementation of Celo technologies." Chuck Kimble, President of the Celo Alliance for Sustainability, commented:

"We are thrilled to have the Partnership expand by 50% following our initial report in March, with companies dedicated to building growth, notably in Africa and Latin America".

A Total of 75 Participants

The Celo initiative, with its 50 founding members, was launched in March. Since then, current leaders also served on different ventures within Celo. Anchorage and Coinbase, for example, confirmed custody support for the Celo Gold token at launch. A part of Celo block incentives will be contributed to tree planting by Project Wren to promote a carbon-neutral, open network. In Kenya, Clabs and Appen conducted a microwork test.
