Samsung and LG are determined to improve their crypto game as both companies have partnered up with international crypto companies. Samsung has recently begun its partnership with Gemini, a crypto exchange giant out of America. Samsung has begun to integrate the functions of Gemini crypto exchange into its Galaxy phones equipped with blockchain wallets in Canada and the United States.
This implementation allows users of the Galaxy phones to easily sell and purchase cryptocurrencies which they can now store using Gemini cold wallet storage.
While Samsung has been making its major moves, LG has not been sitting idle. LG has decided to run a node on a Dallas based project called the Hedera Hashgraph project while also being a member of the project’s council of governance.
According to Hanguk Kyungjae, the coronavirus pandemic seems to be a major reason for this move as the pandemic has pushed the big South Korean companies to think about creating contact-free tech business solutions with the cryptocurrency playing a major role. These giant techs believe major impact can be made by partnering with the big crypto players in the United States where the crypto market is already evolving and regulations are present.
Despite their international partnerships, tech giants Samsung and LG still have ties with domestic crypto player, Kakao which recently launched its crypto wallet integrated with its KakaoTalk application.
