Legal Issues Involving Bitmex's Cofounder Benjamin Delo is still on-going, as he surrenders to the U.S. authorities because of the violation of a bank secrecy.
In view of his legal Issues, Delo has pleaded not guilty before a U.S. magistrate court, and granted bail with $20 million.

There has been a legal Issue involving the cofounder of Bitmex, Benjamin Delo.
According to reports from Bloomberg, Bitmex's cofounder Delo travelled from the U.K to the United States for the hearing of the case, where he surrendered himself to the U.S. authorities.
As a matter of fact, Delo had to plead not guilty before the U.S. magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave; however was granted bail with the sum of $20 million.
According to the Judge, the terms of the release was he is allowed to return to the United Kingdom. Yet he is still expected to appear before the Court in May.
In October,2020,Arthur Hates and Samuel Reed were equally accused of violating the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
According to BSA, the financial institutions are expected to provide documentations with transactions above $10,000. And this is aimed at preventing money laundering through the banking system.

Deli's legal adviser told Bloomberg that " the charges are unfounded and overreaching, and Delo intends to defend himself against the charges and clear his name in court".
On May 17, 2021, the U.S. Direct Court for Southern District of Newyork has made a declaration that Arthur Hayes has agreed to surrender in the United States on April 6, 2021, and will attract a ball out fund of $10 million,secured by a $1 million deposit in cash.
Other important updates from the news include; that Hayes is currently residing in Singapore and according to the court filing he will be present before the U.S. authorities in Hawaii.
Also Reed is a free man after being arrested in 2020 and posted a $5 million bond.
