  • After two days of price declines, bitcoin has regained some ground and is again trading at $36,000. Altcoins have responded even better, with significant double-digit price increases from Terra, Avalanche, Shiba Inu, and many more.
  • According to BTC.com, the network will continue to strengthen by reaching another all-time high in the next 12 days, with a network difficulty of 26.70 trillion.

Bitcoin is now worth $35K+

The principal cryptocurrency's performance over the last several days has been dismal. It was only on Thursday that the asset reached a multi-day high of $43,500 due to a surprise price increase.

However, here is where everything went wrong. Bitcoin's value began to plummet quickly, and it fell below $38,000 a day later. This is the lowest price since early August.

Despite the fact that this was a significant correction in its own right, the bears just strengthened their hold on the market. As a consequence, BTC fell another $4,000, bringing it to roughly $34,000. In contrast, this became the lowest price point since late July.

BTC, on the other hand, has gained roughly $2,000 since then and is currently worth $36,000. Despite this, its market value remains significantly below $700 billion.

Altcoins with extensive recoveries

Altcoins have suffered even more than BTC in recent days, with significant price decreases. On a daily basis, though, most are now in the green.

Ethereum fell by almost $1,000 in two days, reaching a low of $2,300. ETH, on the other hand, has gained more than $200 in value and is now worth more than $2,500. Ripple and Solana have shown comparable advances.

Binance Coin, Cardano, Polkadot, Dogecoin, and MATIC, on the other side, have each regained approximately 10%. On a daily basis, Terra (20%), Avalanche (13%), and Shiba Inu (21%). SHIB, on the other hand, has risen by almost 40% from yesterday's low.

Finally, the cryptocurrency market capitalization has risen by $130 billion from yesterday's low, reaching approximately $1.7 trillion.

In the midst of price volatility, Bitcoin's network difficulty reaches an all-time high.

The Bitcoin (BTC) network has set a new all-time high mining difficulty of 26.643 trillion, with an average hash rate of 190.71 exahash per second (EH/s), indicating strong community support despite the continuing bad market.

The Bitcoin network difficulty is defined by total computing power, which is related to the difficulty of confirming transactions and mining BTC. According to blockchain.com statistics, the network difficulty decreased between May and July 2021 for a variety of causes, including China's total ban on crypto mining.

However, when displaced miners restarted operations from other countries, the network difficulty has seen a dramatic rebound after August 2021. As a consequence, the Bitcoin network reached an all-time high of 26.643 trillion on Saturday.

According to BTC.com, the network will continue to strengthen by reaching another all-time high in the next 12 days, with a network difficulty of 26.70 trillion.

F2Pool has contributed the most to the hash rate in the previous four days, mining 88 BTC blocks, followed by Poolin at 76 blocks. As of yesterday, the average charge per transaction was at $1.58, with a high of $62.78 in April 2021.

Despite government demand for tougher monetary laws around cryptocurrencies, Bloomberg commodities analyst Mike McGlone believes that BTC has a fighting chance of winning because investors realize its potential as a digital reserve asset.

According to reports, McGlone feels Bitcoin is in a unique position to prosper in a context when stimulus removal is often seen negatively for risk assets:

"Cryptos are at the top of the dangerous and speculative list." If risk assets fall in value, the Fed's inflationary struggle will be aided. Bitcoin may be a key benefactor of this scenario if it becomes a worldwide reserve asset."
