IOTA's migration to the Chrysalis network seeks to increase their penetration in the crypto sector significantly.

IOTA had been the Golden Kid of 2017. In 2017, the blockchain set the crypto community ablaze with its unique structure. Imagine a cryptocurrency without a blockchain, a decentralized Internet of Things solution? It was a wonder for investors, and people flocked to it.

Major Signals

  • IOTA once again is trying to launch an upgrade.
  • The upgrade is migration to Chrysalis.
  • This upgrade also encompasses a smart contract and stronghold.

But it seems the promises were not delivered. Investors' expectations fell short, and so did the price of IOTA. By 2019, everyone thought it was a dead project, a bad investment. But it seems that it's attempting to rise from the dead…

The migration of the IOTA Chrysalis network essentially means that coin's simplicity, safety, and usability of the real world will improve massively. It is no wonder that this price for the coins was running for the sky with so many future applications coming soon.

Co-founder and CEO of the IOTA Foundation Dominik Schiener said ZDNet had reinvented itself with Cryptocurrency. It has been so changed that its creators in essence, speak of an entirely new project. The new program needs no miners,
electricity or the transaction charges.

He said that despite the errors, IOTA's management team had had a good experience over the past years. The DAG-based data structure technology or "The Tangle," in principle, claims to be superior in effect compared to standardized blockchain.

He guaranteed that the tangle would enable billions of human and cyber users to be adopted by design, essentially achieving a payment network between man and machine.

Since its inception, this vision has not changed, but now the picture is much clearer, and developers are closer to it.

Chrysalis was announced back in 2020, and migration is scheduled for 28 April 2021. There have been several important changes, including removing the notorious node of coordinators so strongly criticized for excessive network centralization.

The Foundation has said that the Firefly tests migration using internal and external testers to classify phase 2 Chrysalis as a "new start to an IOTA Protocol." The organization and IOTA developers developed the new components for Phase II in August 2020.

The development team released several versions for the Pollen testnet in this connection. This part introduces mana, a reputation system that contributes to the safety of IOTA.

In an alpha stage, the Bee software node was released. Developers can reach the Bee node and run complete Chrysal migration support with a modified dashboard.

Naturally, investors look forward to it, and there is a noticeable hope. In the collapse of Bitcoin and a market nervousness scenario, over the last three weeks, IOTA has retained a booming trend.

In just two weeks, IOTA has gained by over 40% and has soared by over 60% in thirty days.

Conclusion

It would appear that IOTA again enters into the cryptocurrency investors' portfolio and hearts. The green candles of this portfolio are welcome in red days with sharp corrections from Bitcoin. It is currently trading at $2.18 as at the time of this report, an increase of over 5%.

For now and for short term traders, the diagrams look fine, but for hoodlers and analysts, the question remains whether it will sustain it's performance longterm. Can IOTA really fulfill their expectations?
