The lawyers representing Ripple Lab in a lawsuit alongside the company's Chief Executive Officer, have argued any declaration that was put together overemphasizing the usability of the Ripple cannot be proven otherwise.
Ripple's legal counsel and CEO, Brad Garling, have informed the court that the litigant, Bradly Sostack, a ripple investor is yet to produce evidence that traders were misguided by the company with positive assertions about the crypto and selling of unregistered tokens.
During the court proceedings, the lawyers defending the XRP trader argued that the cryptocurrency has no use case. Ripple's lawyers countered the notion stating that the notion cannot stand because it was not presented in the first lawsuit against the defendant.
The first hearing of the longstanding lawsuit against the crypto giant occurred in August 2019. The investor's legal representatives filed a lawsuit against the company with claims that XRP tokens sold by the Ripple Labs were not registered and therefore illegal tokens.
