When hackers get the seed phrase, they have full access to the STEPN user's dashboard, allowing them to link their hijacked accounts to their own or "claim" a giveaway, according to Peckshield.
If consumers see anything odd with their accounts, Peckshield advises them to contact support as soon as possible. Some consumers indicated that they had encountered problems, that they had reported them to support, and that the problem had been remedied.
