The Universal Basic Income (UBI) Program
The U.S. lawmakers have been calling for a universal basic income (UBI) program for some time now. After the advent of the global coronavirus epidemic, UBI has been advocated by policymakers as a response to financial woes.
A few weeks ago, Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib also made note that the American Treasury could go with as much as a trillion dollars of platinum coins and not suffer any debts. With the plan, it's expected that the disbursement of at least $1-2 K to any citizen regularly would be possible, even after the COVID-19 crisis economic problems end.
Amid Tlaib's plan, democratic members of Congress approved the biggest stimulus reform package in the country's history. In a similar vein, President Donald Trump has introduced the Coronavirus Assistance, Recovery & Economic Protection (CARES) Act, which grants all citizens a one-time payout of $1,200 per taxpayer.
