PayPal to Set up New Crypto Business Unit

Schulman elaborated on the old-fashioned current financial system and how they would quell it through cryptocurrencies. He further informed that PayPal would be investing a lot of assets into crypto. This was on the February 3rd earnings hearing.

This decision will benefit the digital blockchain and tokens alike. It has already caused an uprise in the value of Bitcoin.

The launch date remains undisclosed, although it is expected to be carried before the end of this quarter. This will enable users to buy and sell with the use of crypto assets worldwide. The integration will be possible across their vast network of over 26 million merchants.

"We hope to launch our first international market in the next several months" and is also expecting to integrate crypto with Venmo later this year. He also stated that "everyone who signed up for crypto is opening up their app two times as much as they previously did."

The first announcement was made back in October. Paypal publicized that their over 300 million users will trade with crypto— Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin. This had then caused a rise in the price of BTC at the time.

This plan is also going to be made into reality on Venmo.
