We’re excited to share an important milestone with the Remitano community: Remitano has successfully completed the CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) Level 1 Full System audit under CCSS version 9.0.
This achievement reflects our continued commitment to building a secure, reliable, and trusted platform for buying and selling crypto - especially as adoption continues to grow across emerging markets.

What is CCSS and why is it important?
The CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) is an international security framework created specifically for systems that work with cryptocurrencies. Unlike general IT security standards, CCSS focuses on crypto-specific risks such as key management, access controls, and operational safeguards.
For Remitano, CCSS is not a change in direction, but an independent validation of security practices that are already embedded into our platform. As part of the Level 1 Full System audit, our entire operating environment was reviewed—covering asset protection mechanisms, internal governance and access controls, and how risks are continuously monitored and mitigated.
By aligning with CCSS, Remitano measures its security against internationally recognised benchmarks, giving users greater transparency and confidence. The latest version, CCSS 9.0, released on December 17, 2024, ensures these standards keep pace with the evolving crypto landscape.
What Remitano’s certification covers
Remitano earned a CCSS Level 1 Security Certification, meaning the assessment covered our entire system architecture, not just specific features or components. Remitano also receives CCSS Audit by Hacken, whose expert guidance helps us continuously strengthen security controls and align with evolving industry best practices as CCSS.
The audit reviewed how we:
- Manage and protect cryptographic keys
- Control internal access and permissions
- Operate and monitor systems
- Reduce risks related to unauthorised access and asset loss
This certification confirms that Remitano meets internationally recognised baseline security requirements for crypto platforms.
Security as a continuous commitment
Achieving CCSS certification is not a one-time effort. It reflects Remitano’s long-term approach to security, which includes:
- Continuous investment in security architecture
- Regular third-party audits
- Ongoing system reviews and improvements
As crypto becomes an increasingly important financial tool for millions of users, we believe security must evolve alongside growth.
Following the successful audit, Remitano is now officially listed on the CCSS completed audits registry. This allows anyone - users, partners, and stakeholders - to independently verify our certification status.
Moving forward
Remitano bridges the gap between fiat and crypto by delivering a secure, trusted environment that enables users to buy and sell digital assets with confidence. This CCSS certification is another step in strengthening that foundation.
We will continue to invest in security, transparency, and best practices to ensure Remitano remains a platform our community can rely on.
Thank you for being part of the Remitano journey.
