Starting from 20:00 (UTC) November 14, 2020, Remitano will temporarily suspend the support for Bitcoin Cash (BCH) DEPOSIT and WITHDRAWAL in Remitano wallet until the end of the hash war. However, the BCH transaction on P2P Exchange and Swap is still going as usual.
Bitcoin Cash is set to perform a protocol upgrade on November 15, 2020, and it is expected that BitcoinCash will be split into two chains in this upgrade, which are BCHA (Bitcoin Cash ABC) and BCHN (Bitcoin Cash Node).
As the original white paper stated, whatever the longest chain should be followed. There are currently no final results indicating which of two chains will be officially recognized by the majority of users or exchanges as BCH; therefore, Remitano will suspend BCH deposit/withdrawal to protect the rights and interests of users, and to avoid the uncertain risks caused by hard fork.
Once the split is completed and the main network is stable, Remitano will resume the BCH deposit/withdrawal service on the majority chain.
If you wish to have balance on both forks, please withdraw your BCH prior to such time. BCH trading will continue as usual.
Important Note
Any request to be credited or returned balance on the minor chain will not be supported. If you wish to have balance on both forks, please withdraw your BCH prior to 20:00 (UTC) November 14, 2020.
The above is Remitano’s plan that has been carefully and objectively considered based on the latest market information in order to minimize risks. Please refer to the latest announcement for the resumption time of BCH deposit and withdrawal.
