Spencer Dinwiddie, a professional basketball player, got a disheartening reply to his offer of a Tokenized share in his 34 million dollar NBA contract. The token offering ended close to a year after Dinwiddie announced his aim to provide security tokens showing fractionalized proprietorship in the agreement.

Just eight investors contributed.

Plans were made by the Brooklyn Nets guards to sell 90 shares in exchange for 13.5 million dollars, but just nine shares were sold in exchange for I.35 million dollars, which is merely 10% of Dinwiddie's target.

Ethereum blockchain Explorer shows in its data that just eight investors took part in the offering, and the NBA star on Twitter has not acknowledged the sale conclusion.

Last year September, the basketball player faced slight resistance from the association, subsequent to him publicizing his aim, which made the end of his contract face a significant threat.

The Basketball player started the token sales from the 10th of January after several delays. It became apparent he wasn't making progress with the sales. Three months ago, he launched a crowdfunding movement attempting to exchange the contract for money worth 2,635.8 Bitcoin, which equals 24.6 million dollars at that time, but it wasn't successful.

Spencer Dinwiddie tests positive for COVID-19

Early this month, the Basketball player's result to COVID-19 came out positive; therefore, he won't be a participant in the forthcoming NBA restart.
