DBS multinational bank gave some insights about cryptocurrencies in its most recent quarterly report.
Baig, the DBS bank's chief economist, explained two different stages of demands regarding digital asset issues: pre-pandemic and post-pandemic.
He explained that before the pandemic, people only wanted BTC because it had an amazing run, so they saw nothing wrong in investing a small part of the% of assets into BTC. However, the post-pandemic is beyond speculative, and people are more worried about the dollar outflow and considering crypto as a safe haven.
The head of Sygnum bank also stated that since the pandemic, interest in crypto from private firms has increased as they see it as an alternative and a way to stay safe from inflation risk.
