Within the past month, Canada's Securities Regulator has authorized three bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETF's) to encourage crypto investment. These ETFS are currently trading on Toronto Stock Exchange.
The three bitcoin exchange-traded funds were authorized in the sequence. First Purpose Bitcoin ETF, followed by Evolve Bitcoin ETF and finally CI Galaxy Bitcoin ETF.

Three exchange-traded funds have now been authorized to operate in North America.
Canada's Security Regulators on the Toronto Stock Exchange formalized the Operations of these exchange-traded funds within the past month.
The order of authorization was in this order; first was the Purpose Bitcoin
ETF, followed by the Evolve Bitcoin ETF and lastly came the CI Galaxy Bitcoin. All the three exchange-traded funds operated on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The Bitcoin ETF trades under the ticker symbols BTCX.B and BCTX.U.
The Purpose Bitcoin and Evolve Bitcoin are guarded in the Canadian dollars while the CI Galaxy trades in U.S. dollars
One of Canada's leading investment managers is the latest exchange-traded fund, the CI Galaxy Digital Capital Assets Management LP, which is an arm of Galaxy Digital Service serves as a bitcoin sub-advisor and executes bitcoin trading on behalf of the ETF.
Furthermore, the lowest management fee of any bitcoin ETF in the world today is that accrued by BTCX at 0.40%.
BTCX invests directly in bitcoin with the holdings priced using the Bloomberg Galaxy.
Bitcoin index, which tracks the performance of a single bitcoin in U.S. dollars. The Index is owned and administered by Bloomberg Index Services LTD.
cI Global Asset Management has several other crypto products. The firm launched the CI Galaxy Bitcoin Fund (TSX:BTCG) in December 2020, which it intends to merge into the ETF. Moreover, it is in the process of launching CI Galaxy Ethereum ETF, which is expected to become the first ETF in the world to invest directly in ether.
Other important updates from the news is that the manager had equally "filed and obtained receipts for preliminary prospectuses of CI Ether funds, which are mutual fund versions with the same investment objectives as BTCX and the Ether ETF respectively.
