Many famous celebrities have dirty secrets. This is already acknowledged by a lot of people. However, to have stolen information on those dirty secrets is an entirely different matter. A ransomware group called REvil claims to have a 1 Terabyte worth of stolen data that contains dirty secrets to famous celebrities and even politicians. They claimed that they got the data from a law firm that’s known for working with famous celebrities called Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks.

REvil stated that if the law firm refuses to pay them $42 million, they will sell it elsewhere. If there’s no one single entity that can pay them $42 million at once, they would release the secrets partially. First, they would start with datasets that contain the public secrets of Nicki Minaj, Lebron James, and Mariah Carey for $600,000 each.

They would also release secret data of Universal and MTV for $1 million, and Bad Boy Ent. Hold. for $750,000.

ReVil said they only accept Monero (XMR) which has become popular among darknet users due to its native privacy protocol. They didn't stop there. They also claimed that they have data where it proves that the Democratic Party in the US has bribed some celebrities.

Previously, ReVil also blackmailed US President Donald Trump and demanded $42 million from the controversial president. Either ReVil actually has all these “secrets” or not, we still don’t know.
