Dogecoin and a Doge-sponsored Race Car both Crash

Some have referred to Saturday’s race as an appropriate representation of Doge’s recent performance on and off the racecourse.

The NASCAR Xfinity Race held last Saturday in Nashville did not on a happy note for the Dogecar as the Doge-decorated Chevrolet Camaro driven by Stefan Parsons collided with a wall while on the seventieth lap and skidded off the finish line.

Major Signals

  • Doge performs poorly in the market and on the racecourse
  • Dogecar finishes last place in NASCAR’s weekend race
  • Regardless of the loss, Dogecoin fans appreciate the publicity
  • Dogecoin’s price falls by 64% in June
  • Landon Cassill agrees to receive his earnings in Crypto

Devoted Dogecoin fans had displayed a lot of excitement before the race, with the dogecar hashtag being seen all over social media, especially Twitter. Pictures of the race car adorned with the famous Shiba Inu dogedog were posted on several social media platforms by enthusiastic Dogecoin supporters.

Despite the loss endured by Dogecoin in the race, its supporters have taken to several platforms to express their gratitude for Dogecoin’s inclusion in the game. Dogecoin has suffered a similar fate in the markets, dropping by fourteen percent in a plunge from about $0.3 on Saturday to almost $0.26 on Sunday.

Dogecoin began May at an all-time high of $0.73. In the past two weeks, the meme-coin has fallen by thirty percent while recording a sixty-four percent drop from its price in May. Last weekend’s game makes it the second time that the now popular Shiba Inu has been displayed over a NASCAR race car. In March 2014, Dogecoin supporters raised over 65 million Dogecoins on Reddit for race driver Josh Wise to compete in NASCAR’s Talladega Superspeedway race. In the 2014 NASCAR race, Josh Wise drove Phil Parsons’ number 98 car, coming in 20th place.

Earlier in March, B.J McLeod Motorsports announced an agreement to sponsor the Dogecar used last weekend. It is not a surprise that the driver in last weekend’s game was Phil Parsons’ son, Stefan Parson.

In a released statement, Stefan Parson said that he was proud to have had the opportunity to oversee an operation “that has an incredible story” from his father’s race team.

Conclusion

More news update on Cointelegraph says that Landon Cassill, a racer with Xfinity Series, has accepted a sponsorship proposal from the crypto broker, Voyager, to get paid a portion of his salary in cryptocurrency. Voyager concluded a nineteen-year sponsorship deal with Cassill, which began with Saturday’s race game in Nashville, Tennessee. Landon Cassill asserted that Voyager would pay for the whole agreement with several crypto assets.
