The Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia or Indonesian Blockchain Association aims to mobilize and organize these technology businesses in the country to boost the competitiveness of local blockchain solutions and advocate for the industry's advancement at both the national and international levels. The association is part of the larger ACCESS blockchain network, with sister organisations in Malaysia and Singapore.
ABI has four membership tiers: founding member, local company, overseas company, and honorary member. Its current members include Binance, Indodax, Uno, and many other local crypto heavyweights.
The Indonesian Blockchain Network aims to be the country's premier blockchain advocacy group and blockchain community. It seeks to do so by helping to coordinate the efforts of the local blockchain community, raise awareness of crypto and blockchain, educate members about technological developments, and advocate the use of blockchain to technologists and regulators. BAPPEBTI or the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency is an agency under Indonesia's Ministry of Trade that regulates the country's commodities futures trading. This includes the trading of foreign currencies, cryptocurrencies, and gold futures. As such, cryptocurrency exchanges and other intermediary entities operating in the country's crypto market will need to adhere to BAPPEBTI's regulations.
OJK is Indonesia's Financial Services Authority, an independent institution that regulates and supervises activities involving or related to financial services in Indonesia. This is the agency that decides whether or not cryptocurrencies will be legal in Indonesia.
Bank Indonesia is the country's central bank. At the time of writing in mid-2020, the central bank remains wary of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin though it has mentioned that it was considering issuing its own digital currency or "digital rupiah ''.
PPATK is Indonesia's Financial Transaction Reports and Analysts Centre, a government agency responsible for financial intelligence. The agency was formed in 2002 to combat money laundering and terrorist financing activities in the country. These guys know if you've been naughty or nice.
KADIN is Indonesia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the umbrella organisation of Indonesia's business chambers and associations. According to their website, KADIN currently has 34 regional chambers and 514 district branches and is a leading resource for foreign companies looking to do business in the country.

Indonesia Blockchain Week is crypto exchange Tokocrypto's flagship annual event. IBW was the first weeklong blockchain event to be held in the country when it was first hosted in November 2019.
The World Blockchain Summit is touted as the Asian region's leading industry event. The summit is hosted in many major cities and was originally slated to be held in Jakarta in June 2020, but later turned into a virtual summit and postponed by a month due to the coronavirus pandemic. As such, the 2020 event will be held online on July 16.
BlockJakarta is a conference on blockchain technologies and its capabilities. The event, which was first held in May 2018, aims to discuss the many ways blockchain can enhance our economic, legal and political systems --- with the aim of making Indonesia the largest blockchain market in Southeast Asia.
