Interest in Cryptocurrency in Nigeria increasing since April

Nigeria has been on top of the chart regarding interest in cryptocurrency, especially BTC, for the past few months. The country is the largest source of bitcoin transactions in Africa and is gradually turning to be the world's biggest virtual currency market.

Nigeria is reported to be performing at a very high level in terms of digital currencies, and cryptocurrency activities have been on the rise since April. The report explains that Nigeria has seen a 60% rise in the usage of the Blockchains web wallet for the past three months.

Google trends also released data stating that Nigeria has been the number one country using the search engine to inquire about bitcoin. In terms of interest in bitcoin, Nigeria is followed by some other African countries and then Switzerland and Austria.

Although, Nigeria is the leading country in terms of activity on the blockchain platform, looking at the total wallet activities and transactions, Peru and India are the top two countries followed by Indonesia.
