Alchemy, a blockchain-focused company, backed by Pantera Capital, Stanford University, and Coinbase, has finally launched its new breakthrough technology called Alchemy Notify. This Alchemy Notify provides a push notification for crypto app programmers that could finally help everybody to not refresh everything manually.
At the moment, many crypto users like to refresh their web browser to check a transaction confirmation on the blockchain explorer. This process could be tedious at times. Thanks to Alchemy Notify, this won’t be the case anymore. With Alchemy Notify, users experience would finally get much better as they would be able to get a real-time push notification on their smartphones just like how centralized apps work.
For a long time, crypto applications have been criticized for their lack of user-friendliness. While centralized and traditional applications have adopted this type of push notification for years, it’s been challenging to adopt a similar system to DApps (decentralized apps) due to their nature where they interact directly with the blockchain. It’s much more complicated to get notified of your blockchain transaction, and many critics had previously feared that this would mean that mainstream adoption wouldn’t be possible for cryptocurrencies.
MyEtherWallet team itself has openly stated that push notifications would certainly help crypto wallet apps and other DApps to gain mass adoption because that’s what the users demand. To have an application with real-time push notification and yet still maintain its decentralized nature has been very challenging. Alchemy itself has claimed that it has a certain obsession to help developers provide smooth user experience features.
