The new ETH 2.0 deposit address continues to receive impressive support as donation soars to 31,557 at press time.

A recent transaction on the favored Ethereum blockchain explorer, Etherscan, reveals ETH founder Buterin Vitalik donated 3200 ETH to the Ethereum 2.0 deposit address.

Major Signal

  • Donations to ETH 2.0 deposit address continues
  • Creator of Etheruem contributes more than 3000 ETH to the deposit address
  • A total of 31,557 ETH of the required 524,288 ETH have been donated.

The ETH founder stated that he anticipates that the reserve contract will attract people and become more comfortable with the tool.

Vitalik is optimistic that the required 524388 ETH from 16384 validators to launch ETH 2.0 will be achieved before the deadline, the 1st of December.

He went further, saying: "if the sale of ether in 2015 is looked at, there was a major (even though dissatisfying) level of involvement on the first day, then shallow involvement on the 2nd to 12th day and then on the 13th day and particularly the 14th day, there was a massive boost in the sale of ether. So it is very likely that we will experience a slow period and then plenty of involvement by the end of this month."

According to a report, the reserve wallet release is the final phase before the ETH 2.0.

What do you think of Vitalik's contribution? Let's discuss in the comments.

For quite some time now, the ETH 2.0 transition was postponed and it seems the first phase is set to begin on or around December 1, 2020. The first stage of ETH 2.0 is often referred to as “phase 0” and Ethereum developers claim the transition will reduce energy consumption. The blockchain will also introduce shard chains, but most people these days are discussing how proof-of-stake (PoS) will be implemented.

I think that the deposit contract will continue to attract people "as stakers get their coins out of cold storage, get comfortable with the tools and confident that the tools work and they're not accidentally throwing their coins away
